East Greenville in a Nutshell
East Greenville, comprised primarily of cities Mauldin and Five Forks, is a metropolitan area in Greenville County comprised of many of the area’s most well-known shopping areas, event venues, hotels, and special events. Also known as “the Eastside,” East Greenville is busy in every sense of the word and is fast-growing, as many of the cities in Greenville County are. East Greenville is home to many of the area’s most affluent neighborhoods and communities, as well as being a major hub for travelers due to its close proximity to Interstates 85, 385, and 185.

East Greenville is most well-known for its busy roadways and many shopping centers. With the area’s largest retailers all within a ten minute drive, the area is a popular attraction for Greenville County residents. Upscale neighborhoods and communities predominantly define the area’s residential life, with East Greenville having one of the Upstate’s highest median incomes. The area is built around the major interstates nearby and therefore is densely populated with all of the most convenient solutions to everyday necessities.

Of the most popular attractions in East Greenville, the Haywood Mall and Roper Mountain Science Center are at the top of the list. East Greenville has a wide variety of attractions to offer, including countless golf courses, The Shops at Greenridge, and the Mauldin Cultural Center.
Commerce
East Greenville is the heart of Greenville County’s commerce. With major headquarters for corporations like AMECO, Verizon Wireless, General Electric, Hubbell Lighting Inc., and Sage Automotive Interiors, East Greenville is the area’s most prominently concentrated business hub. New businesses open every day in the area, which has lead to new job opportunities and thus massive growth in residence over the past few years.

East Greenville, like Greer and Downtown Greenville, is a forerunner in academic success in Greenville County. Great charter schools and public schools such as Lead Academy Charter School, Langston Charter Middle School, Monarch Elementary School, Bethel Elementary School, and Greenville Technical Charter High School set the standard for excellent academia in Greenville County.
