About Taylors
What to do, where to live, and how to thrive.
Taylors in a Nutshell
The town of Taylors is built around one of the area’s most well-known golf communities Pebble Creek Country Club, a 500-acre semi-private course surrounded by housing developments and residential scenery. While not incorporated as a city, Taylors is the area’s largest suburb, which lends to the town’s constant development of shopping centers, attractions, and restaurants. Taylor is also home to dozens of the area’s most prominent artists and hosts its First Friday Gallery Crawl at the Taylors Mill, a historic warehouse transformed into an eclectic collection of shops, coffee roasters, and artists’ studios.
Residential Life
Lacking a traditional downtown location, Taylors offers residents a much quieter lifestyle than its neighboring areas of Downtown Greenville and Greer on either side. The area is abundant in outdoor spaces such as public parks, golf courses, and lakes. Taylors, like many other areas in Greenville County, has its own abundant collection of shopping centers, grocery stores, and restaurants.
Attractions
In addition to Pebble Creek Country Club, residents of the Taylors area enjoy public parks and swimming at Lakes Robinson and Cunningham. Within close proximity to Taylors, Paris Mountain State Park is also a major attraction to locals and visitors seeking an outdoor adventure. Taylors residents also spend time at the Taylors Mill, home to Due South Coffee Roasters, Ally Brazilian Coffee Merchants, and the Taylors Farmers Market during summer months.
Commerce
The Taylors area is home to many entrepreneurs, craftsmen, and creatives and is particularly satiated with start-up businesses of all kinds. Taylors is also rich in industrial opportunities with many factories and warehouses in the area. Taylors residents often commute to workplaces in surrounding areas, as the town is conveniently located between Downtown Greenville, Greer, and Simpsonville.
Schools
With nearly more than ten public, charter, and private schools in the Taylors area, academic choices are vast. All schools in Taylors are top-ranking schools in comparison to the greater Greenville area, with well-known institutions such as Brushy Creek Elementary School, Northwood Middle School, and Greer Middle College Charter High School.
